Today’s Task: Share a meal with someone else.
I find that when I make plans to cook dinner with others, it necessarily forces me to get out of my regular routines of doing doing doing. A wise person on a yoga video I often come back to said “We are human BEINGS, not human DOINGS”. This means that it’s okay to enjoy the company of others and not feel like you have to be hard on yourself for not getting other things done.
Rest. Enjoy the present moment. And share a delicious meal.
I made leek and potato soup and brought over some delicata squash to bake, as well as a Sri Lankan sweet to share. It was a fabulous meal, complete with some garlic bread and crackers.
So now the question is – what are you going to make, and for whom?
