Large-Scale Food Systems Change Projects
Not only is direct farmer support a priority for Mezclada’s strategic growth, but addressing structural inequities in the food system. This is where our food systems consulting comes in. To date, Mezclada has been involved in several long-term food systems planning projects based in the U.S., and is quickly expanding internationally. I’m seeking partnerships with farming associations, land succession planners, and local governments to bring our unique lens to the issue of land access and farmland transition. When we are ‘mixed’ as a community, we tend to be challenged to think differently, to develop a greater sense of compassion and to be more creative.
