Today’s task:
Trust that life has bigger plans for you than you can imagine.
What a freaking incredible day. Between my first two-hour bus ride to getting on a ferry to a very cramped bus, to being welcomed to an exquisite paradise of a lodging situation that literally takes my breath away, I am beyond floored with what the universe has cooked up for me. Not to mention getting to cook with a very inspiring individual who happens to be the person I’ll be likely working for the next couple of months.
Being here in Santa Teresa is like being in a secluded oasis. You don’t just get here. You really have to go out of your way to find yourself in this bustling town of 300. There are way more than 300 people right now, probably because it’s high season here in Costa Rica (AKA dry season), and the ATVs just pass you left and right.
I think I have a thousand new thoughts that I want to process, but here’s just a few that’s coming up:
- There are so many people in the world who are just going with the flow and figuring things out. They don’t have a plan other than to do what they love and follow their passion, or enjoy themselves until the money runs out. I met one of those someone’s from Nebraska today on the beach while watching the sun set.
- Life is too short to spend your youthful years killing yourself so that you can save for retirement.
- Meals are better when they are shared.
- If you think that your prices are too high, you’re probably wrong. You’re just targeting the wrong client. 🙂
- Always pack a pair of sandals. You never know if you’ll end up on the beach!
It is likely that the coming days and weeks will be filled with more adventure than I even thought possible. And getting on a bus today was definitely the right step to bring me closer to my dreams!
This brings us to our exercise for the day, which will help you cultivate this sense of trust that life has bigger plans for you. This is inspired by, and borrowed from, Taylor Eaton, as I embark on her 12-month course on marrying human design and financial abundance. Thank you, Taylor!
Today’s Exercise:
Take a deep breath and imagine the flow of energy from your sacral/root chakra flowing up and through your body, and as you exhale, let it flow out of your throat chakra. As you inhale again, imagine the flow of energy being pulled from the tip of your head through your brain, cheeks, ears, and out through your throat chakra.
Marry the movement of energy with the flow of abundance and money in your life. Repeat for as long as you need, but start with a minimum of 60 seconds.
I did this after a long yoga video yesterday and felt like I was floating on a cloud afterwards. Check in with yourself and feel free to journal once you’ve completed the exercise. Did thoughts come up? Did you feel yourself catching your breath in your body during certain parts? Take note of these. We may come back to them in the future!
